Anti-aging skin care products

Using anti-aging skincare products is another crucial step in keeping your skin healthy and younger-looking. The purpose of anti-aging products is to help stop the signs of aging and to erase fine lines and wrinkles. When applied to the skin the ingredients that the anti-aging serum contains inhibit muscle movements to soften wrinkles and prevent new wrinkles to form. The ingredients penetrate the outer layer of the skin and work to repair and stimulate collagen production in the skin.

Prevent brittle nails

Are you tired or embarrassed by brittle, splitting nails? Well, you're not alone. Although brittle nails are occasionally caused by an underlying medical problem, they are usually caused by overexposure to water or harsh chemicals and/or exposure to cold weather particularly when you go outside without gloves. All of these promote drying of the nail bed which causes your fingernails to become brittle and fragile.

Protect your neck

Blogneckprotect8i90 Many of us forget about our neck when it comes to daily sunscreen, which is sad considering that it is actually more prone to aging than the face. The most crucial treatment is prevention, and with the right creams you can make your neck look much younger. You don't have to buy specific creams for the neck, a face cream with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen will work wonders. Be sure to apply it every day.

Also using an antioxidant serum such as AminoGenesis Perfect Reflection on a daily basis will protect your skin from environmental damage that causes wrinkles.

Bring youthful volume back to your hair

As we age, our hair, like our skin, gets thinner. Here are some tricks to get the volume back:

  1. Wash with a volumizing shampoo, then apply a lightweight conditioner to the ends only. If you place conditioner on your crown it will make your hair appear limp.
  2. Rub a bit of mousse into your roots to give volume. Afterwards, blow dry.
  3. Make sure you dry your hair in sections. Wrap the top sections around large Velcro rollers, pulling the hair slightly toward your face. Let cool for at least ten minutes.
  4. Flip your head over and shake your hair with fingers at the roots. It's true, the old upside-down move really works.

Look younger

A recent study suggests that woman's hands look younger when she wears rings and nail polish. Also many women forget that their hands often show their age before their face does. So try the following.

  • Apply sunscreen to your hands every day. Remember that when you're outside during the day your hands are constantly exposed to the sun (unless you're wearing gloves). So be sure to use a sun block with SPF of at least 15.
  • As for the nail polish, avoid colors like dark blue, deep burgundy or taupe, which can make your hands look older. In a recent Allure magazine article they suggest, "Picking a color that will make your hands look younger, such as bright reds which look great on short, rounded nails, but make sure to choose an orange-y red and not a bluish red (the blue makes veins in your hands look worse)." They say you can't go wrong with a low-key, soft pink. We like Princess Charming - Your Royal Shyness (a shy beige-pink with royal presence.)
